Editorial Policy

Xsciens is a science news site that explains research and news from around the world in Japanese and English. This page describes how we choose topics, how articles are made, and how we correct mistakes.

1. How we choose what to cover

We start from primary sources whose origin can be checked: peer-reviewed papers, press releases from universities and research institutions, and statistics or announcements from public agencies. Every article lists its sources at the end. We do not write articles based only on social media posts or sources of unknown origin.

2. How articles are made, and our use of AI

Articles are written under the editor’s own direction. AI assists with gathering primary sources, drafting, summarizing, and Japanese-English translation. Numbers and proper names are checked against the primary sources, and multiple AI tools are used for a second round of checking.

3. About the Xsciens Editorial Note

Many articles include an Editorial Note. It separates what the study reported from our interpretation, and lays out the study limits and what to watch next. Wherever possible we link to references independent of the research team, such as earlier studies, guidance from public agencies, or comments from outside experts.

4. Corrections

If we find or are told of an error, we verify it and correct the article promptly. When a correction changes the meaning of an article, we note the correction in the article. Please report errors through the Contact page or at info@xsciens.com.

5. Medical, financial and legal topics

Articles are general information. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions, investment decisions, or legal advice. Please consult a qualified professional for individual decisions.

6. Advertising and independence

If advertising is shown on this site, advertisers and the presence of ads do not influence the content or conclusions of our articles.

7. About the operator
